Illustrating the pleasure of post: The camera has it's own way of seeing, as do I. We work together with collegial familiarity to capture a moment's vision. Afterwards I team with other tools to refine the image to faithfully represent that moment. I am the arbiter of ethics, adhering to a tradition often called "straight photography" that avoids an excess of artificiality.

An interesting comparison. Same crimson columbine, same time. One taken with a middle aged iPhone, the other with a high resolution DSLR, on opposite sides of the light. The Nikon had the resolution, but the iPhone had the light.
